Dentures and tooth replacement at Smile Avenue Family Dentistry

UNDERSTANDING THE BASICS

What Is Dentures?

Dentures are removable replacements for missing teeth and the surrounding gum tissue. Whether you're missing a few teeth or an entire arch, modern dentures restore your ability to eat, speak, and smile with confidence. They've come a long way from the bulky, obvious dentures of the past.

Full dentures replace all teeth in the upper or lower jaw (or both). They rest on your gums and are held in place by suction and the natural contours of your mouth. Partial dentures replace several missing teeth and clip onto your remaining natural teeth for support.

Implant-supported dentures are the premium option — they snap onto dental implants placed in your jawbone, providing superior stability and eliminating the need for adhesives. Many patients who've struggled with loose traditional dentures find that implant-supported options completely transform their quality of life.

At Smile Avenue, every set of dentures is custom-crafted in our in-house dental lab. This means we control every detail — tooth shape, color, gum shade, and fit — resulting in dentures that look natural and feel comfortable from day one.

IS THIS RIGHT FOR YOU?

Who Needs Dentures?

You may benefit from dentures if any of the following apply to you:

  • You're missing most or all of your teeth in one or both arches
  • Your remaining teeth are severely damaged and need to be extracted
  • You have existing dentures that are old, ill-fitting, or uncomfortable
  • You want to improve your ability to eat and speak clearly
  • You're looking for an affordable way to replace multiple missing teeth
  • You want to restore your facial structure and prevent the sunken look caused by missing teeth
  • You're interested in implant-supported dentures for maximum stability

WHAT TO EXPECT

The Dentures Process

01

Consultation & Assessment

We evaluate your oral health, discuss your goals and lifestyle, and determine the best denture type — full, partial, or implant-supported.

02

Impressions & Measurements

Precise digital and physical impressions of your mouth are taken, along with bite measurements and shade matching for the most natural result.

03

Try-In Appointment

A wax model of your denture is created for a try-in. You'll see how the teeth look and feel, and we make any adjustments before final fabrication.

04

Final Delivery & Fitting

Your finished denture is placed and carefully adjusted for comfort and fit. We schedule follow-ups to ensure everything feels perfect as you adjust.
